On May 8th, the 13th Solarexpo opens its doors in Verona to international exhibitors and visitors. Over 1,230 direct exhibitors and brands, representing 40 European and non-European countries will be exhibiting on more than 100,000 m² of exhibition area. More than 70,000 professional visitors are expected to visit the 11 exhibition halls and outdoor exhibition areas. Solarexpo hosts 60 international and national conferences, workshops and courses this year with 300 national and international speakers presenting to 6000 expected conference attendees.

As media partner, Design-Build Solar is proud to present the following introduction to the events taking place at this year’s Solarexpo.

The Greenbuilding event, the international exhibition and conference on energy efficiency and architecture, will take place alongside Solarexpo as well as the Italian PV summit – Roadmap to grid parity and Solarch - Building Solar Design & Technologies. Greenbuilding will focus on new ranges of products, technologies and solutions for renewable and sustainable architectures and industries.

This will also be the last time Solarexpo is taking place in Verona. The 14th edition of Solarexpo will be held on May 8th -10th, 2013 in Milan’s exhibition centre following the signing of an agreement between Solarexpo organizer Expoenergie and Fiera Milano.

“We are delighted that Solarexpo has chosen Fiera Milano as the future venue for its exhibition,” said Enrico Pazzali, chief executive of the Milan-based trade fair company. “By joining us, Solarexpo will gain global visibility and appeal. Fiera Milano offers state-of-the-art exhibition and conference facilities of renowned excellence to support the development of solar photovoltaics and the other renewable energy technologies. Since it is well-known that Fiera Milano is a key business driver, we are confident that the future editions of Solarexpo in Milan will provide further support to the renewable energy sector.”

“The new positioning of Solarexpo in Milan represents another step in the evolution of our event that during its 13 years has always embraced innovation to match market dynamics,” stated Luca Zingale, Solarexpo’s scientific director and CEO of Expoenergie. “In this scenario, Fiera Milano provides an important platform geared towards attaining the goals of our internationalisation strategy that aims to address the challenges of those players willing to compete in the solar and other renewable energy markets, which are now totally globalised.”
