Solarwatt advised that its P210, M220, M250, M180 and M200 series solar modules had passed snow load testing, which saw the modules withstanding extreme snow loads, which are not uncommon in the high Alpine regions. The mechanical load tests were completed at the company’s VDE-certified laboratory based on IEC 61215 and DIN 1055 standards.
The P210, M220 and M250 series modules were tested for a maximum snow load of 6,000 Pascals while modules from the M180 and M200 ranges were tested with loads of 7,600 Pascals. "The test results are proof of the excellent manufacturing of the Solarwatt modules. Our strict quality standards have proven their worth", said Detlef Neuhaus, CSO at Solarwatt.
"Customers can use our modules in regions with heavy hail, wind, and snowfall without any qualms or worrying about breakages. The warranty also applies for ten years here", said Neuhaus. "We have already been installing modules in the Alps since 2006. So far, we have had no technical complaints, even though the solar modules in these regions are subjected to extreme weather conditions. Our quality modules function perfectly. As a result, we are sure that our customers will also be more than happy with the quality and yields of our solar modules in the future,” concluded Neuhaus.
