A central figure in SolarWorld’s successful fight to obtain anti-dumping duties on Chinese imported solar products in the US has been replaced as president of its US operations.
An emailed letter sent by founder and CEO, Frank Asbeck, to US employees at the beginning of the week, said Gorden Brinser was no longer head of US operations. The company has not followed up with an official announcement, although Greentech Media broke the news and published a verified copy of the letter on its website.

The executive shuffle included its US operations CFO, Brent Jensen relinquishing the role, while sales and marketing head, Kevin Kilkelly has left the company.
The moves were placed in the context of further restructuring of SolarWorld’s US operations with Asbeck informing employees that the commercial operations, based in Camarillo, California would be amalgamated into its manufacturing operations in Oregon.
Mukesh Dulani, vice president of SolarWorld’s US operations will take over from Brinser as president over the combined entities.
The US executive team will also include Gordon Bittig as executive VP of finance, Ardes Johnson as VP of sales and marketing, Garry Star, VP for supply chain management and Steve Pecis, Director of operations.
Asbeck said in the letter that Brinser and Jensen had been invited to remain within the company, though no further details were provided.
