SolarWorld saw sales grow 30% in 2008

SolarWorld AG has posted 2008 fiscal revenue of €900 million, a 30% increase over 2007. Operating result before taxes and interest (EBIT) also grew by more than 30% to €260 million. SolarWorld said that the current results were exactly inline with its previous guidance.

The company also noted that January, 2009 sales had exceeded those of January, 2008, despite poor weather conditions for installations in key European markets.
