Solon Corporation brings new VPs to executive management team

Solon Corporation has recruited two new members to its executive management team: Michal Lauer as VP of finance and Edward Wegener as VP of operations. The company looks forward to its newest members continuing its financial growth while maintaining efficiency and performance.

Both are joining the Company during a time when Solon is progressing with tremendous momentum,” said Dan Alcombright, regional VP and GM of North America. “We look forward to the outstanding leadership they will provide, as they uncover and drive new growth opportunities and ensure Solon’s reputation for operational, product and service excellence.”

Lauer brings 16 years of corporate finance and lean manufacturing experience to Solon, most recently as CFO at Securaplane. His prior engagements include executive finance positions at companies in the fiber optic and gaming industries.

Wegener is a 25 year veteran to management in the solar and solar glass industries. He was most recently manager of AGC North America’s solar glass business unit supervising the development and commercialization of crystalline silicon, thin-film and CSP product markets. Wegener also brings management and operational experience from his time at Apogee Enterprises.
