SPIE Belgium, a specialist in electrical engineering, has announced that it has acquired three Belgian companies, namely G. Van Overschelde from Mouscron, Vano Electro from Tournai and Vanogroep from Kortrijk. All three companies are involved in electricity and PV installations, and have a combined turnover of €13.5 million.
Through the acquisitions SPIE Belgium will strengthen its position in the region and extend its expertise in the PV field. Commenting on the acquisition, the company’s CEO Johan Dekempe stated, “This acquisition marks a new stage in the growth of SPIE Belgium in a dynamic region in which we were not active enough so far.”
SPIE Belgium’s business unit manager Fried Meganck will lead the three new entities, which are expected to retain their names as well as their employees which total 68.
"I do not doubt for one moment the skills of employees. Despite the crisis, the market continues to offer many opportunities. We are not willing to rest on our laurels and will continue the development of companies involved in the recovery,” said Didier Vanden Broucke, division manager at SPIE Belgium.
