Spire adds five new members to leadership team

Spire Corp. has announced the addition of five new recruits to its management team. The senior staff members, all Vice Presidents of their respective departments, bring years of experience in the semiconductor, technology and marketing industries to their roles. The new additions are: Dr. Avishai Kepten, Jae-Bok Young, Martin Stein, Louis Insalaco, Jr., and Michael Hurton.

Dr. Avishai Kepten takes up the role of Vice President of Solar Cell Lines, where he will lead this segment’s business development. Joining the company from semiconductor equipment supplier Novellus Systems in Portland, Oregon, Dr. Kepten has a strong physics and equipment background.
 
Joining Spire as Vice President of Business Development – Far East, Jae-Bok Young assumes responsibility for the company’s business development and sales and marketing activities in Korea and throughout Asia. He brings experience from semiconductor companies such as Eaton, PRI Automation and MagneMotion.
 
Martin Stein joins the company as Vice President of Engineering and New Product Development. His role will be to lead the company’s new product development for all of its technology platforms. His most recent role was as General Manager of the robotics product group and Director of Quality at semiconductor equipment company Brooks Automation.
 
Louis Insalaco, Jr. assumes the role of Vice President of Manufacturing. In this role, he takes on responsibility for all manufacturing and also for development of offshore operations. He spent the past 20 years with BTU International, the thermal technology company.

Michael Hurton joins Spire as Vice President of Strategic Resource Management, in which role he will oversee all material procurement evaluations and strategic cost reduction. Mr. Hurton also worked at BTU International, where his role involved the evaluation of production costs in relation to materials and operations.
