Spire appoints new personnel in financial operations

Robert S. Lieberman and Jeffrey Chasse have been promoted to chief financial officer and treasurer, respectively, by Spire. As CFO, Lieberman will be taking the lead on the accounting and financial oversight and strategic/governance participation. Chasse will overlook the finance department and Spire’s accounting systems by monitoring and updating the systems internal controls and financial reporting procedures.

Robert Lieberman joined Spire in 2009 as the corporate controller and served as chief accounting officer since December of 2009. Previous to his positions with Spire, Lieberman was a senior VP and CFO for Millbrook Distribution Services and was CFO and treasurer of Saleslink. Baruch College in New York and is an active member of the American Institute of CPA’s, the New York Society of CPA’s and the Boston chapter of Financial Executives International.

Jeffrey Chasse will bring more than twenty years of experience in the service and manufacturing fields to his new position. Previously, Chasse was director of global accounting and North America controller of Virtusa. He also worked with Moduslink as the director of financial planning and analysis where he and Lieberman were colleagues. Chasse received a degree from Central Connecticut State University and is a member of the American Institute of CPA’s.

Roger Little (pictured), chairman and CEO of Spire, enthused that, “Bob Lieberman is an experienced financial executive. As CFO, he will provide leadership and financial accountability to our business. Jeff Chasse is also a key member of the team. We are pleased that we could bring together this talent to improve our financial reporting operations.”
