Spire names new Accounting Officer

Spire has named Robert Lieberman, current corporate controller, as its chief accounting officer. At 58, Lieberman has been working as corporate controller since April of this year. His additional position will leave him responsible strategic or governance participation, in addition to the making him director of accounting and financial oversight.

Spire's chairman and CEO Roger Little [pictured] said, "Mr. Lieberman brings a combination of financial, operational and business experience to the executive team. I am pleased that he has accepted the additional responsibilities of chief accounting officer as he continues to expand his financial role. He is an accomplished financial executive with more than two decades of experience in both manufacturing and distribution business segments. Robert will provide leadership and oversight for all aspects of the organization's overall financial function at Spire."

Lieberman graduated from Bernard M. Baruch College and is a current member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Before his employment with Spire, Lieberman served as chief financial officer for Millbrook Distribution Services. Lieberman held this role from May 2004 to January 2008 and worked previously for Saleslink Corporation. Lieberman worked as chief financial officer and treasurer for this subsidiary of CMGI from April 1999 to December 2003.
