DayStar Technologies advised that William Steckel has resigned from its board of directors, effective September 28. Steckel leaves his position due to his new employer’s requirement that he not serve as a director on outside company boards. The board has not named a replacement for Steckel.

The company further announced that it will no longer pursue its proposed tender offer to the shareholders of Salamon Group. The offer was seeking to acquire at least 50.1% of Salamon’s outstanding shares of common stock. DayStar did note that in the future it may decide to re-evaluate its current decision.
