US-based solar module manufacturer Stion has agreed to a supply deal of 3MW of solar modules to Inman Solar for installations across the state of Georgia.
Both Stion and Inman Energy have collaborated on three 1MW projects in Georgia over the past three months – the result of Washington Gas Systems’ goal of merging solar materials from an American company with a developer such as Inman Solar.

Dan Fossitt, president of Inman Solar, said: “We were intrigued by a US manufactured panel and the reported higher performance by Stion. Along with Washington Gas Energy Systems’ support for the product, we decided to try these panels and compare performance to our other sites that have crystalline type panels. The coming months should tell us how they stack up.”
The three PV projects were all developed and installed due to the Georgia Power Advanced Solar Initiative (GPASI) and will be owned and maintained by Washington Gas Energy Systems.
