Suntech relocates HQ to Switzerland amid plans to double sales team

Schaffhausen, Switzerland is the location of the new Suntech European headquarters, and with plans to double the sales and marketing team headcount, the company looks to be preparing itself for a busy period. The move is said to be part of the company’s strategy to centralise regional operations and improve customer services.

"The European market represents close to 80% of our business and has the potential to grow significantly in the coming years,” commented Dr. Zhengrong Shi (pictured), Suntech's Chairman and CEO. “Suntech has already established very mature and capable sales, technical and support teams across Europe, however, we are committed to increasing this investment to ensure that our customers have the best support available. We plan to double the size of our European team over the next three to six months."
