Suntech teams with Enphase Energy in U.S.

Solar micro-inverter systems from Enphase Energy, Inc. will now be offered via Suntech Power Holdings authorized dealerships in the U.S. In January 2009, Enphase signed a supply agreement with Akeena Solar that was expected to result in 100,000 micro-inverters used with Akeena’s ‘Andalay’ solar panels over the next two years.

Suntech said it had ordered approximately 1MW of Enphase micro-inverters, which will be stocked at Suntech’s U.S.-based warehouses with its modules to streamline ordering and logistics.

"Enphase Energy has come out with some very impressive inverter technology that will change the way solar is installed. We want to help our Authorized Dealers stay ahead of the curve, which is why we decided to make this available to our customers," said Roger Efird, President, Suntech America, Inc.

    Photovoltaics International 16th Edition

This sixteenth edition of Photovoltaics International marks four years of production of the quarterly journal. As always, our focus is on efficiency and quality improvement and cost reduction in manufacturing. As 2012 rolls along, companies are falling by the wayside due to supply and demand issues, ASP declines and drastic governmental subsidy cuts. A clear picture of 2012 is offered through papers from the likes of TÜV Rheinland, Fraunhofer ISE, SEMI PV Group and EPIA, amongst others.
