Swiss Feed-in tariffs cut by further 10%

In addition to the 8% FiT cuts made in January, effective March 1 the Swiss Federal Department of Energy (DETEC) will further reduce the FiTs for PV power plants by 10% for new facilities.

DETEC decided to introduce the additional cuts to the FITs because the prices for PV modules have continued to drop over the last year, resulting in lower investment costs for PV projects. The tariffs are to be revised on a regular basis to account for changing market conditions, with first review set for mid-2012.
