Taipower plans just 70MW of new PV capacity by 2030

Taipower is only planning to bring installed PV capacity up to around 100MW over the next 15 years, up from around 30MW currently installed.

Taiwan state-owned utility Taiwan Power Co. (Taipower) is planning to spend around US$12 billion on new electricity generation through to 2030 but solar is expected to remain a side show to hydro, geothermal and offshore wind capacity, according to reports.

Taipower is only planning to bring installed PV capacity up to around 100MW over the next 15 years, up from around 30MW currently installed. 

In contrast, offshore wind capacity is set to increase to 180MW, up from around 30MW, currently.
