As of August 1, Tenaska Solar Ventures (TSV) is the new owner of the proposed 160MW Silverleaf project, which is under development in Southern California. The company bought the project from Agile Solar Holdings, an affiliate of Agile Energy and Bregal Energy. Agile Energy will provide development services to TSV through the completion of the project permitting while TSV takes over all other development aspects of the project, including securing a PPA.

The 160MW project will be named Tenaska Silverleaf Solar Energy Centre and located on 1,100 acres west of El Centro, California, and east of Tenaska’s 150MW Imperial Solar Energy Centre West. Construction is slated for commence in 2014, with a commercial operation date of 2015.

"Agile Energy's vision of developing a major solar generating station in the Imperial Valley will now be realized with the backing of Tenaska," said Glen Davis, CEO of Agile Energy. "We're excited to be working with one of the premier companies in our industry to bring Silverleaf into operation."
