Tigo Energy announces strategic partnership with AEE Solar

Tigo Energy has entered into a distribution agreement with AEE Solar that will see the latter become Tigo’s first U.S. distributor of Tigo Energy’s Maximizer System. The system, a power output enhancer that can improve output by 20% in a PV array, is currently ramping to full production and will, following this news, be available via the AEE catalogue of products in the U.S.

Tigo has installed over 25 of the systems globally, some over a year ago, which has provided the company a reliable source of real-world performance data with which to test the output improvements offered by implementing the system. Training in the installation of the system will be provided in conjunction with AEE Solar training.

“We are excited to offer The TIGO Energy Maximizer System to our customers. The system works in harmony with current PV system components to increase the energy harvest, system visibility and operational safety of residential, commercial and utility-scale PV systems,” said David Katz, founder and CEO of AEE Solar.

    Photovoltaics International 16th Edition

This sixteenth edition of Photovoltaics International marks four years of production of the quarterly journal. As always, our focus is on efficiency and quality improvement and cost reduction in manufacturing. As 2012 rolls along, companies are falling by the wayside due to supply and demand issues, ASP declines and drastic governmental subsidy cuts. A clear picture of 2012 is offered through papers from the likes of TÜV Rheinland, Fraunhofer ISE, SEMI PV Group and EPIA, amongst others.
