Trina Solar announces management appointments and CFO resignation

Sean Shao has tendered his resignation from the post of CFO of Trina Solar to pursue other interests, it was announced by CEO Jifan Gao (pictured) today. His resignation comes into effect on March 31st, 2008, and he will be replaced in the post of CFO on that date by Terry Wang, who has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Finance.   Terry Wang joins Trina from fabless company Spreadtrum Communications, where he was EVP of Finance. Bringing over 20 years’ experience in international financial operations and management to the roles of CFO and SVP of Finance, he has an M.B.A. in finance from the University of Wisconsin.

Jason Chen has joined the company as Vice President of Legal Affairs, having most recently served as Legal Counsel of The9 Limited.  He qualified as a solicitor in 1997 at the City University of Hong Kong.
