Trina Solar Ltd., integrated manufacturer of solar photovoltaic products from the production of ingots, wafers and cells to the assembly of PV modules, has announced that it has began shipment under a long-term supplier agreement with PROINSO, distributor for solar photovoltaic equipments and a specialist in engineering services in Spain.
The modules will be used for solar projects in the U.S. and major European markets including Italy, Greece and Spain. Shipments for the second quarter of 2009-2010 are covered in the supplier agreement.
Trina Solar will supply PROINSO with up to 25MW of PV modules in 2009 and 50MW in 2010. Prices and quarterly purchase volumes under this agreement are pre-determined through March of 2010. The company's first shipment was made in late June 2009.
