Upsolar has commissioned a new 30MW module manufacturing facility in Braga, Portugal. The site is being designed and installed by a leading European automatic line producer and will help Upsolar meet rising demand for its modules across the continent.

Upsolar has achieved rapid growth throughout Europe in recent years, and we anticipate this trend to continue in the coming years. Our new Braga manufacturing platform will further boost Upsolar’s ability to meet increased demand for our products across the continent,” Upsolar CEO, Zhe Jiang, said. “We will continue to ramp up production to serve current and future distribution partners at a host of sites around the world.”

Upsolar began serving the Portuguese solar market in 2008, with projects including a 12MW installation in Ferreira do Alentejo, although the Braga development will be its first production site in Europe. The platform will embody Upsolar’s “Excellence at Each Step” approach to manufacturing, which sees its on-site quality control team collaborate with production partners to ensure that modules meet or exceed Upsolar’s high standards.
