New Jersey-based panel manufacturer MX Solar USA has stopped its production, the company has announced. Company representatives blamed the cessation of production on the low-cost competition from China. Most of the company’s employees were already made redundant in March but a small number had continued manufacturing until recently. MX Solar USA was among the group of seven manufacturers who filed the complaint against Chinese dumping practices last year.
”We had to cease production because we were so drastically affected by the Chinese dumping of solar panels," Carlo Santoro, the company's director of business development, explained. "We can’t make them for what they are being sold for."
