U|S|E has signed a contract with Solar Frontier to distribute and install its CIS modules. U|S|E will distribute the modules alongside Solar Frontier’s Munich-based sales team and  install them in tandem with its own photovoltaic projects.

“U|S|E bases its business on high value-add partnerships,” U|S|E’s managing director, Arnold Berens, said. “We see this latest one as an excellent chance to integrate Solar Frontier’s CIS technology into economically- and ecologically-appealing solutions. As the market for solar energy plants continues to grow, we can expand our business in 2011 while assuring stable supply for our expansion with Solar Frontier’s gigawatt scale production capacity.”

“Solar Frontier is expanding at a very rapid pace and we will continue signing top-tier partners. U|S|E is renowned as a leading photovoltaics system integrator and as such is a very important addition to our partner portfolio in our growth-oriented European strategy. We are very much looking forward to a successful and extensive commercial relationship,” added Solar Frontier Europe’s managing director, Wolfgang Lange.

The modules will be produced at Solar Frontier’s recently-opened manufacturing plant in Miyazaki, Japan, which will be one of the biggest of its kind when it reaches full capacity of 900MW.
