Verengo Solar has hired nuclear-power-educated Akiko Koh. She will be responsible for the operational infrastructure growth needed to deliver and support affordable residential solar power to thousands of American homes as Verengo continues to expand throughout California and the East Coast.

“As our new VP of operations, Akiko will lead all operations following the sale of a solar energy system,” said Verengo co-founder and president Ken Button. "She combines attention to detail with a vision for scale and efficiency that has our entire company excited.”

Koh, who is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt, has over 22 years of operations experience at GE and its subsidiaries, including executive operating officer of GE Edison Life Insurance in Japan. Most recently she was a VP of Modular Space Corporation where she ran the business in the Western US.

"I was drawn to Verengo because they install only the most intelligent, energy-efficient and dependable products available while providing unsurpassed customer service and workmanship," said Koh. "Verengo has already pioneered a way to remove the high upfront costs from solar so more families can afford it. Making that solar transition easier for our thousands of customers is an inspiring task and one I look forward to."
