Voltec to supply 7MW of panels to La Compagnie du Vent

French-German module manufacturer, Voltec Solar has signed an agreement to deliver solar panels with French wind energy company, La Compagnie du Vent, part of the GDF Suez Group.

The agreement is to deliver 7MW of Voltec’s panels for a solar power plant in the city of Châteaurenard, in southern France.

Production is under way with the order scheduled for completion by January 2014.

Thierry Conil, president of La Compagnie du Vent said the agreement was a good starting point for long-term cooperation.

“We are thrilled about this cooperation that allows us to demonstrate once again that Voltec Solar enjoys a strong financial stability and this for the long term,” added Markus Schaefer, co-founder and vice president of sales, Voltec Solar.
