GET capacity utilization in March was kept at around 95%, while shipments were said to have increased along with its OEM business, confirming pricing pressure continued through the first quarter.

On a non-audited basis, GET reported first quarter 2015 sales of NT$4,028.8 million, a 6.5% increase from the first quarter of 2014.

GET noted that it expected wafer ASPs would at least stabilise or at best increase in the second half of the year, primarily due to expected increase in demand from forecasted growth in global PV module installations.

The company noted that it expected fully utilize 2GW of in-house wafer capacity, along with 700MW of wafer capacity from strategic partners, to increase its market share in the high-efficiency wafer market.
