Welspun Energy to construct 100MW plant in Anantpur, India

  • "With our fresh commitments we embark on our next phase of developing 250 MW solar power projects in 2012-13, " said Vineet Mittal, MD.

Following speculations surrounding construction deadlines, Welspun Energy has now announced that it won a Rs 950 crore contract with the Andhra Pradesh government to install a 100MW solar system in Anantpur. The government will be giving the company Rs 950 crore to construct, operate and maintain the plant which is due to be completed by 2013. 

"With our fresh commitments we embark on our next phase of developing 250 MW solar power projects in 2012-13. The zeal and commitment displayed by our team will ensure our achievement through excellence in process and execution," Welspun Energy managing director and co-founder Vineet Mittal said.
