William Ovitt selected as Director of Sales, Asia Pacific by Evergreen Solar

Evergreen Solar, Inc. has selected William Ovitt for the newly created role of Director of Sales, Asia Pacific in which he will oversee the sales and marketing in the Asia Pacific region. Ovitt boasts more than a decade worth of international sales experience in the energy market, much of which focused on renewable energy in the Asia Pacific region.

Formerly with Xantrex Technology, Inc., Ovitt held senior management positions with the company and directed its sales efforts in Korea and China for the past three years. He was also Xantrex’s Director of wind power for the past 12 months. In addition, Ovitt was the National Sales Manager and Vice President of sales at Heart Interface, Inc. He was also Director of Marketing for United Solar Systems.

William Ovitt has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California Santa Barbara and was a member of the Board of Directors of Solar Washington. He also served on the board of the California Solar Energy Industries Association.
