Six projects with a total capacity of 12 megawatts (MW) capacity have
been allocated by the Haryana Renewable Energy Development Agency
(HAREDA) to private developers to generate power from solar energy.Two
of these six projects with installed capacity of 1 MW each will not
require any land as these will be installed on rooftops of existing
industries, a HAREDA spokesman said here on Sunday.The other projects
are also being executed by private industries. The projects would be
set up by these industries before December 2009, with a total
investment of nearly Rs.2.4 bn.
