Ray LaPierre, a professor of engineering physics at McMaster
University, has recently received funding to further his research in
Nanowire Photovoltaics. The funding was provided from the Natural
Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada who awarded
McMaster with a Collaborative Research and Development Grant.
LaPierre’s heavy resume includes a bachelors degree in physics, a Ph.D.
in engineering and physics, eight years of employment at JDS Uni phase;
a large company in Ottawa that develops communication systems and
finally followed by his current status as an Engineering and Physics
Professor at McMaster.
