The software as a service (SaaS) offering helps users analyze data collected from the PV array by delivering information through an easy-to-use web-interface, so maximum energy can be harvested. MYPVDATA SOC is now included with ongoing service subscriptions for all current commercial customers.

Traditionally, monitoring has occurred at the inverter level with access to very basic information on system performance. SolarMagic is expanding monitoring and management by enabling active management at the system, string, and module level.
Solution
National’s SolarMagic MYPVDATA SOC makes any data point in the system available and helps interpret this data, in a graphical real-time graphing and reporting web-interface. Through the MYPVDATA portal, system owners access single- and multi-site data and customize the user interface to get the most value out of the data. With access to daily, weekly, and monthly monitoring data and reports, operations and maintenance (O&M) costs are reduced as the intricacies of the installation are understood. The company claims that with each unique installation increases ROI by minimizing excess maintenance and maximizing performance through monitoring the best installation set-up. Access to array, panel, and string-level data mean inefficiencies are easily corrected by setting notification alerts that trigger the system to act (automatically or manually). The quality of a PV system not only depends on the hardware used, but also on the exact implementation given environmental parameters. The SolarMagic system manager (including an AC energy meter, data logger, and Internet gateway), ensures system owners meet projected power performance yields with the data available. Data is gathered, reported, and stored online and accessed from anywhere at anytime.

There are four key elements included in the product offering. Performance Analysis – Analyzes system performance relative to environmental conditions. Progress Analysis – Tracks production relative to a configured budget and predicts future performance. Symmetry Analysis – Displays energy harvest by string (or other unit) and can indicate imbalances in the arrays as well as detecting issues such as excessive dirt and partial shade, quickly. Data Analysis – Compares and perform calculations on any data points to create custom graphs and reports.
