The largest European PV park, located in Brandenburg-Briest, has been completed. Q-Cells constructed the 91MW project in just eight weeks. The park, equipped with 383,000 Q-Cells crystalline modules, is divided into three sections: Brandenburg-Briest West and Brandenburg-Briest East, with a combined capacity of 60MW and Briest-Havelsee, generating an additional 31MW. Briest West and Briest East are both owned by Hamburg-based asset management company Luxcara, while Briest-Havelsee is owned by MCG Management in Berlin.
“Q-Cells sets benchmarks when it comes to constructing large-scale plants, for example by deploying the megawatt-block standard that we had developed,” Frank Danielzik, director of systems and operations in Germany, said. “With those standard blocks we ensure higher power output for the plant operator, we speed up the pace of construction work and at the same time minimize operating costs.”
