German project developer solarhybrid is preparing to start work on its largest PV project to date after Fürstenwalde’s municipal council awarded preliminary planning permission for its 150MW project. The €280 million system’s location is a former army airport in Neuhardenberg and is the ninth military site solarhybrid has converted in the past two years. Installation at the 340-hectare site will begin next summer, with grid connection pencilled in for December. Financing and development is to be coordinated by solarhybrid subsidiary sohy Neuhardenberg.
