Solar has signed a cooperation agreement with Giscosa Sociedad Limitada
of Spain, a rubber membrane manufacturer and distributor, for the
development of building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) roofing products
for distribution in Europe.
The agreement will see both Ascent and Giscosa working together in developing BIPV roofing materials using the latter’s RubberSun roofing products. Ascent will enable the development and certification of the products by supplying Giscosa with product from its 1.5MW production line.
The companies may continue with this cooperation agreement in the future, in the form of demonstration-scale products with the aim of further marketing the BIPV roofing products.
