EDF Energies Nouvelles (Paris:EEN) has announced the signature of
another agreement to purchase 67.5 MWp of photovoltaic modules,
including an option on 37.5 MWp, with Photowatt International, its
third supply contract to secure sufficient supply for installation
contracts. Deliveries will be staggered over 3 years, from 2008 to
year-end 2010.
The agreement stipulates that Photowatt International, the solar
products manufacturing business of ATS Automation Tooling Systems,
Inc., will provide EDF Energies Nouvelles with 10 MWp of photovoltaic
modules based on the metallurgical silicon technology.
Options
on further deliveries include 7.5 MWp in 2008 and 15 MWp p.a. for 2009
and 2010. EDF Energies Nouvelles plans to allocate these modules
primarily for the construction of ground-based solar power plants.
