EDF
Energies Nouvelles has begun construction on one of France’s largest
solar power farms in the Malvezy industrial zone of Narbonne, France.
The plant, which will have a capacity of 7MWp, will be constructed
using 95,000 thin-film modules supplied by First Solar, which will be
delivered to the site in late July.
The company is currently installing the panel supports and inverters, while completion expected by the end of 2008. The 7MWp capacity will provide enough electricity to meet the power needs of over 4,200 people.
