enXco to build 1.8MW solar array in New Jersey

25 June 2008 | By Síle Mc Mahon | News > PV Modules

First SolarenXco has been approached to build, own and operate a 1.8MW DC solar photovoltaic array in New Jersey in an agreement with Hall’s Corporation. Under the terms of the agreement, enXco, an EDF Energies Nouvelles company, will supply the plant’s output on a net-metering Power Purchase Agreement basis to Hall’s Corporation.

With a planned completion date in early November, the plant will consist of two locations with the output split between the two sites. Using approximately 25,000 First Solar modules, it is expected that 1.3MW of the roof-mounted fixed tilt solar modules will be installed at Halls’ 501 Kentile Road facility, with the remaining 0.5MW being situated at 601 Kentile Road.

“enXco is excited to work with Hall's on this important project, and to help the state of New Jersey in meeting its renewable energy goals, said Peter Solomon, Senior Manager Distributed Solar for enXco. “We are also proud to work with our New Jersey based partners, and look forward to future solar development opportunities in the state."
