Yingli Green Energy signs module supply agreement with EN-NEO

EN-NEO NEUE ENERGIEN GmbH, a PV energy project specialist, has signed a supply agreement with Yingli Green Energy for the supply of 9.19MW of PV modules from October to December 2008. The agreement includes the stipulation that EN-NEO will retain the option to purchase a further 9MW of modules from Yingli in 2009. The modules are to be installed in a solar plant that is currently being constructed by EN-NEO in Bad Sobernheim, Germany.

In a three-year supply contract, ersol Thin Film has agreed to supply Ralos Vertriebs GmbH with approximately 40MWp of amorphous thin-film (Nova-T, pictured) modules. Ralos is a solar distributor and specialises in development of large open spaces and roof systems, and has previously worked with aimex-solar GmbH, a trading subsidiary of the ersol Group.

PV module manufacturer Yingli Green Energy has signed a supply agreement with S.A.G. (Solarstrom Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH), a solar system developer and integrator. This is the eighth signed supply contract between the two companies, which will see Yingli supply 5.75MW of PV modules to S.A.G. from June to September 2008. Installation of the modules is planned for S.A.G.’s Italy-based projects.

Signet Solar has announced the fabrication of the industry’s largest silicon thin-film PV module at its new factory in Dresden, Germany. The Gen 8.5 (5.7m2) module was completed a mere ten months after the start of the 200,000 square foot facility’s construction, which was completed after seven months with equipment installation and initial fabrication completed within three months.

SMA America has announced that it is to hold a training day on June 19th in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. The training will be geared toward technical and system-design details of the company’s Sunny Boy products. It will also cover installation requirements and code compliance for the inverters.

Evergreen Solar has said that two recently signed long-term sales contracts have resulted in an order backlog above $1 billion. Evergreen Solar has signed a deal with Ralos Vertriebs GmbH for approximately $750 million for PV modules to be supplied from July 2008 through 2013 and another deal with a U.S.-based installer. The new contracts equate to approximately 35 percent of the expected 160MW of annual production capacity at Evergreen Solar’s Devens production plant through 2013.

Suntech Power Holdings Co., Ltd. has signed an agreement with Hanau Energies SAS to supply a 4.5MW building integrated PV system (BIPV) to a farm located in Alsace, France.
The 4.5MW installation is anticipated to be completed by January 2009 with an additional 1MW already being planned.

Yingli Green Energy has said that it has entered into a new sales contract with IBC Solar AG to deliver a minimum of 35MW of PV modules to IBC from May 2008 to December 2008 for use in projects based in Germany.
