XinAo Group and EMCORE team on manufacturing and use of CPV systems

EMCOREChina's largest energy group, XinAo is to install and test EMCORE’s concentrator photovoltaic (CPV) system at a coal gasification project in Langfang, China with the possibility that the project would require more than 60MW of CPV systems. Yingli signs two Korean supply agreements

Spire wins turnkey solar module and solar cell facility contract in China

SpireSpire Corporation has said that it has won a competitive bid to supply turnkey equipment for a combined solar module and solar cell facility from Jiangxi Gemei Sci-Tech LTD, based in Jiangxi, a southern province in China. The contract includes a 25MW multi-crystalline solar cell factory and an adjacent 25MW module facility. Read more >>

Akeena Solar and Kyocera sign manufacturing agreement

Kyocera cellsKyocera has signed an agreement with Akeena Solar to manufacture Andalay panels, Akeena’s proprietary solar panel technology. The agreement will see Kyocera using its high efficiency solar cells in the manufacture of Andalay solar panels for Akeena, delivering 1.6MW of panels in 2008. Read more >>

Power-One’s inverters selected for Spain’s largest PV installation

Power-OnePower-One, Inc. has been selected by the Energy Division of Isolux Corsán to provide its ‘Aurora’ PVI-Central inverters for Spain’s largest photovoltaic-power installation project. Installation of 100 invertors is expected before September 2008, covering approximately 34MW. Read more >>

Tool Order: Spire wins turnkey PV module assembly line deal from South Korea

SpireDongyang Creditech Co. Ltd. from South Korea has placed an order for a turnkey photovoltaic module assembly line with Spire Corporation. Spire will provide Dongyang with a semi-automated crystalline cell module manufacturing line capable of producing up to 12MW. Dongyang will also use Spire’s process technology and training services to operate the factory. Read more >>
