Amtech Systems has received a further $4.3 million in orders to ship in
its fiscal 2008. Since October 1st 2007, Amtech has received solar
orders totaling approximately $33 million, the company said. The new
orders were placed with its subsidiary Tempress Systems for diffusion
processing systems, and are from two new German customers and a
follow-on order from an existing customer based in the Asia-Pacific
market.
“These new solar orders reflect our continued success in penetrating the Asian-Pacific market and expand our worldwide solar customer base. The orders from Germany provide us with a foothold into the European market by placing our diffusion processing systems, for the first time, with two major German solar cell manufacturers,” said J.S. Whang, President and Chief Executive Officer of Amtech.
