Unitech Printed Circuit Board will move its solar cell plant into volume production in mid-June, with expansion already planned for 2009.

Unitech has all of its required equipment set in May with production to follow in June. The company updated that initial capacity is set at 30 peak megawatt (MWp) with an output of 6-8MWp in late 2008. Two more production lines are planned to be added in 2009, with total capacity expected to increase to 130MWp.

Unitech added that it is well-prepared for solar cell production in terms of equipment, materials and orders.
