Sunnyvale School District is helping to contribute to the "Green Movement" by installing a photovoltaic system which we hope will inspire students and teachers to become active in the "Green Movement." The district selected UniSolar photovoltaic panels for the project. Using 80 UniSolar PVL 136 solar panels with two PV Powered 3 phase inverters, the system will generate 12,197 kilowatts during the year; eliminating 287 tons of greenhouse gasses, equivalent to 574,000 auto miles over the next 25 years. A monitoring system manufactured by Fat Spaniel will allow web-based tracking of the system's production.
