Global Warming Solutions, Inc. has said that it has made further
efficiency improvements with its Light Electric Thermal Generator
(LETG) technology with the development of dual-sided laminated solar
panels.
Previously, the company had claimed that the efficiency levels of its
single-side LETG had been improved by 11-15 percent but the move to
double-sided design has seen efficiency levels increase by 38-56
percent on average.
“We started out with an efficient
technology that produced photovoltaic electricity 2.5 times more
effectively than conventional solar panels. Then we increased our
electric conversion efficiency by 11 percent as a result of developing
a unique coating for the solar panels in our system. Now we have
further increased conversion efficiency to 38 percent by shifting to a
dual panel system,” said Dr. Alexander Kornaraki, Chief Operating
Officer of Global Warming Solutions. “We are extremely happy with these
results and believe the technology is very close to being ready for
implementation as the foundation for a new generation of Solar Power
Plants.”
No specific plans for full-scale production have yet been released.
