XsunX, Inc has outlined its plans for 2008 in relation to its amorphous
silicon tandum junction thin film photovoltaic (TFPV) solar module
manufacturing. XsunX secured $21 million in November 2007 for its first
25 MW facility and expects to place orders with select vendors for the
core and sub-system components in 2008.
The company also expects to have established a baseline production system to produce full size (100cm x160cm) sample modules this year as well as focus R&D efforts on enhancing solar cell deposition methods and reduce manufacturing costs.
"With our plan and initial financing commitment now in place, the majority of our operations for the 2008 period and the foreseeable future thereafter, will focus on establishing and expanding facilities necessary to manufacture our TFPV solar modules for commercial sale," commented Mr. Jon Djokovich (pictured), CEO of XsunX Inc.
