PV-Tech Newcast 14th June 2013 (07:03)

This week we report on new IHS research projections which state that due to the duties imposed on Chinese module manufacturers by the EU, Europe's decline in solar installations will accelerate. Jinko Solar is effectively sold out for the summer, while Neo Solar Power enjoy their fifth consecutive month of rising sales. At the same time, LDK Solar suffers heavy losses as their sales flatline. The Spanish government is set to cut renewables subsidies by 10-20%. Lux Research have found that the materials market is to make a major rebound. Dupont and Yingli Green extend a US$100 million strategic agreement, while Solargiga becomes Sharp's largest PV product supplier. And finally the Australian government launches a remote communities renewables programme worth US$377 million. Companies: Dupont, Yingli Green Energy, LDK Solar, Jinko Solar, Neo Solar Power, Solargiga, Sharp.
