With module production exceeding nameplate capacity, due to line optimization and 24/7 production, aleo solar expects sales to reach €480 million in 2010. Production in the first half of this year was 132.8MW, while nameplate capacity is 250MW. aleo solar reported revenue of €277 million for the first six months of 2010, compared to €118.1 million in the same period a year ago. EBIT amounted to €29.3 million.
“We benefitted from extraordinary demand, as was the case in the first quarter of the year,” said York zu Putlitz, CEO and CFO of aleo solar AG. “The amendment of the German Renewable Energy Act led to pull-forward effects.”
However, sales overseas also increased. Aloe said that revenue overseas reached €49.4 million in the first six months, equating to 17.8% of total sales.
aleo noted that the German market is expected to ease in the second-half of the year and enable the company to allocate more modules to growing international markets.
