PV module manufacturer aleo solar has warned of a “substantial net loss” on preliminary full-year revenue of €279.9 million, down 39% compared with 2011.
In a brief statement, York zu Putlitz, CEO and CFO of aleo solar AG said: “The loss is due mainly to the continued erosion of module prices and the one-off expenses triggered by the factory closings in Spain and China.”
Sales from outside Germany accounted for 58% of total revenue in 2012. The company said that it would also recognise an impairment loss on assets. The company is majority owned by Robert Bosch GmbH.
