Amtech Systems preliminary second quarter 2011 results are being reported to have record revenue and order backlog totals. Revenue for the quarter reached US$60 million, with US$52 million attributed specifically to the company’s solar division. The revenue shows a 12% growth over the company’s first quarter results and a 273% increase when compared to fiscal 2010’s second quarter results. Second quarter bookings reached US$70 million, with $60 million from the solar division. Additionally, Amtech has recorded its total order backlog at US$193 million, a record for the company that breaks the US$173 million results of December 31, 2010.

The final fiscal 2011-second quarter results should be published on or around May 9.
