Module supplier Antaris Solar is celebrating almost a year in Japan with the conclusion of a 1MW deal with Clean Energy Japan.
In May last year, Antaris opened an office in Tokyo with it main partner in Japan NRE who act as wholesalers for the company’s modules.
The branch is located in central Tokyo, Shinjuku district, the central business district of the Japanese capital and is led by Country Manager Tetsuro Uragami.
Andrew Moore, International Sales Director Antaris, said, “Antaris Solar takes a long term view of markets it enters including the UK and Japan. Antaris Solar is also keen to work with local partners who understand their local market. In Japan it is important to gradually build long term relationships and to register a local branch office with the Japanese authorities in order reassure partners and consumers alike that Antaris Solar is here for the long term and can be trusted to support products long into the future. Many foreign companies have tried to break into the Japanese market but have failed leaving Japanese partners the burden of supporting a product no long sold locally by the overseas manufacturer.”
