Array Power has officially launched its new Sequence Inverter technology, which has been especially designed for commercial-scale solar installations. The company advised that it works with solar manufacturers so that its Sequence technology can be integrated during the module production process. Per Array Power, the Sequenced Inverter diminishes the number of critical components needed to operate, which helps better productions costs and the overall reliability of the inverter.
Array Power notes that the Sequence Inverter is able to operate alone. The high-frequency, amplitude-modulated current pulses from the sequenced inverters coordinate with the frequency of the grid and are sequenced by time allowing them to shift relative to one another. The company claims that the Sequence Inverter eliminates the liquid capacitors that are present in other inverter technologies and therefore extends the systems lifetime to over 25-years.
