Specialist PV module mounting systems firm, Array Technologies (ATI) said it had opened its first office in Chile to expand its business in the country.
Buoyed by a country with land concessions for 17 projects totalling 604MW of solar capacity and an approved pipeline of projects totalling 4GW, ATI is making a move to become a key supplier to large-scale projects in Chile.
“This upturn in renewable energy requirements positions Chile to be one of the principal solar markets of this decade and beyond” said, Ron Corio ATI Founder and CEO. “Prime conditions for solar tracking ground mount projects, combined with the growing market potential makes this is an opportunity we simply could not ignore.”
ATI said that the new office would be based in the capital city of Santiago and would also serve as the base for operations in Latin America.
